This is the touchpad overlay that attaches to the front of the dishwasher console and provides the button interface for selecting wash cycles and options. It is the decorative and functional membrane layer that registers your button presses and sends signals to the control board. Replace this overlay if the printed labels are worn or peeling, buttons are unresponsive or require excessive pressure, or if the membrane has cracked or delaminated.
