Dennis K Antioch , CA November 15, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer LAT8714AAE My 20 year old maytag washer was knocking durring the wash cycle I took the cover off the transmission and determined that the only possible knocking had to be coming from the yoke. I ordered a new yoke and all the tub seals needed to put it back together like new. I also ordered a new drive pulley bearing because this bearing is always turning whenever the washer is used. I cleaned all the parts up while I was waiting for the new parts to arrive. I promised my wife I would make it look like new. I installed all the new parts in one day and let the trans cover sealer cure overnight. The next day I put the washer into spin mode and broke in the new seals and bushing. I installed the washer back into the house and washed the first load of clothes. I am happy to say it is working fine.
