Whirlpool WP22004325 Washer Dryer Combo Machine Control Board OEM Part

Put on new control knob assembly and board machine control circuit board. It works fine now. Maytag Neptune is 14 years old now.

Replaced the main control board and wax motor (with the black plunger). Also, while having the machine exoskeleton off, checked connection tightness and cleaned with wd-40 electronic cleaning spray all connections, start button, timer etc. Then carefully replaced the wax motor (the most difficult thing was getting the darn spring out--till I ascertained that the back of the spring was in a slot--compressed the spring and used a screwdriver to pry it up and out); marked all the connectors to the old board with sequential numbers before removing to be sure they got on the right connectors on the control board. Put the board back in (top right of my unit which was a Maytag Stacked Washer/Dryer Model MLG2000AWW-vintage--about 2002) buttoned up the remaining panels(two screws went missing somehow so had to improvise a bit with substitutes that would fit and do the job) Then, having reassembled the machine, because I had suspicions that the starter button might be a culprit, pushed it and to my surprise--it went on--then called wife and set the timer, pushed the button and Eureka--it sprung to life and went through the entire cycle perfectly!! All smiles--and the 1/2 hr or so I spent monitoring the trial cycle was worth the time in satisfaction for a job completed and well done--KUDOS to AppliancePartsPros for their courteous service on the phone and for getting it promptly here in a couple of days--and especially for their parts functioning as advertised.
