Robert C Cutler Bay , FL February 24, 2015 Appliance: Jenn-Air Refrigerator JS42SEDBDA Removed crisper drawers before turning off unit; shorted the main control board We were ecstatic that we were able to fix the unit ourselves. We had a Jenn Air suggested appliance repair company come out and tell us that the unit (built in) would not work unless we ordered the crispers ($600 each) and that they were actually discontinued. That meant we'd have to buy a new built in ($8000) which was NOT going to happen. My husband test power in and out on all the components and deduced that it must be just the main control board.
