Michael K Eastlake , OH April 11, 2025 The oven wasn't lighting up gas I replaced the Oven Igniter. After ensuring that it was the igniter, by turning on the stove and taking out the oven bottom. Watch if it turns red. If not, then either the wiring is faulty, or the igniter went bad. The bulb was due to a loose and broken light bulb, can't use any normal bulb, these ones are specially made to withstand the heat. And the oven bottom was warped due repeatedly heating up and cooling down over the years. It took a fair bit of time to get the new one in, since it was a little bit off when forcing and clipping it in correctly. What took the most time, was trying to take off the old igniter, without remove the center gas extruder. One of the bolts stripped, so had to find a random screw to replace it.
