Whirlpool 8191123 Oven Burner (Bake) OEM Part

Replaced burner/igniter assembly. Repair took about 30 minutes. Half of which was disassembly and reassembly of oven to get to the burner. One screw and one spade connector to remove and replace part

Replaced the bake gas pipe and ignitor. Ignitor was not sold separately.

Serviceman advised that gas valve was the problem and estimated that repair cost would be $300. He did agree that I could purchase the valve and they would still do the installation. However, as soon as he departed, I decided that I would attempt the repair myself. Purchased the gas valve (9763716) from Appliance Parts 365 as they were $30 less that APP. Then I learned from several online repair clinics that problem is usually the igniter. Purchased an igniter from AP365 but found that it was the broil igniter instead of the bake igniter. Discovered the error.when I got everything disassembled. I immediately contacted APP and your phone representative, Heather, got me back on the right track in a matter of minutes. Ordered the proper igniter/burner assembly (8191123} and to my surprise, it was delivered the following day. Did not mess around with "brand X" this time Installed the new igniter/burner assembly and everything is working wonderfully. Best of all, I have a happy wife again Unfortunately, I must now work on getting the unused parts returned to AP365. They reluctantly agreed to the return of the igniter, adding that there would be a restocking charge (don't know how much yet). I have not yet heard from them regarding return of the gas valve. Not anything like working with APP!
