Whirlpool WP3373234 Door Spring Bushing (Dishwasher) OEM Part

I ordered the parts, deciding that if one spring had broken, the other one should probably be replaced at the same time. I followed the suggestion of ordering the door spring bearing given on the ordering page, and since I had not yet pulled out the dishwasher, did not know that it was not used in this older model. However, the order arrived quickly (4 days), and they are genuine Whirlpool, made in the USA, parts. The access to the sides of the dishwasher where the springs are attached require the appliance to be disconnected from the water supply, the drain port, the electrical connection, and the under cabinet bracket attachments. Once this is accomplished, and the dishwasher is rolled out, the actual attachment of the new spring took about 30 seconds.

Pulled it out and put on new spring and then put bushing on spray head. Had to pull it out a second time to adjust spring tighter since weight of wood panel was not on door the first time.

Pulled dishwasher out and replaced the spring and bushing. Re-tensioned springs to make door more balanced.

Watched a video on your site and ordered the 2 parts mentioned. The order came in only 2 days. Much quicker than expected. My husband completed the repair in just a few minutes. The longest part and the only part that required the screwdriver was unhooking the dishwasher from the countertop to pull the dishwasher out to get to the spring.

Ordered a new spring and bearing.
