Description

This agitator cap snaps into the top of the washer's agitator to seal the center opening and cover the retaining bolt. Replacing a cracked or missing cap helps keep water out of the agitator and maintains a clean, finished look. What it does:

• Seals the agitator's center opening to keep water, detergent, and debris out
• Protects the center bolt/drive hub area from moisture intrusion
• Restores proper fit and appearance when the original cap is cracked, warped, or missing
• Common symptoms: cap won't stay on, visible cracks, water found inside the agitator, rattling/sloshing from trapped water

Install notes:

• Unplug the washer before servicing
• If equipped, pull off the fabric softener dispenser to access the cap
• Lift or gently pry out the old cap; clean the mating surface
• Align and press the new cap firmly until fully seated and flush
