John S Granite Falls , MN September 19, 2017 Appliance: Maytag Undercounter Dishwasher MDB4409PAS0 Dishwasher would start begin to fill with water then there would be 4 5 short "hums" or "buzzes" it would then shut off and drain what water had filled Figured it was either the capacitor and/or motor. Ordered both parts to be sure. tried changing the capacitor first; same problem. Replaced the motor (leaving the new capacitor in place). Unit now works fine. Overall an easy fix once you get the washer out and tip it on its side or top to get access to the motor area. Jason F Syracuse , UT October 06, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Undercounter Dishwasher DU1345XTVQ0 Dishwasher filled with water but would not start spraying I could hear a hum when the circulation pump was supposed to start. Looking online, I noticed a new circulation pump had a capacitor attached. I tested using a digital multi-meter and did not get any kind of reading. Mark H Fremont , OH January 03, 2017 Quite partner 2 dishwasher motor just hummed Pulled dishwasher out and noticed one of the terminals was burnt off of the motor lead /capacitor. Got on Appliance Parts Pros website and entered the part number of the capacitor and it showed it was in stock. Submitted my order and received my part the following day. Installed the new capacitor along with replacing the spade terminal on the end of the wire and the dishwasher is back up and running fine.
