George W Carrollton , MS October 19, 2019 Appliance: Model KUWS24LSBSS01 Kitchenaid wine cooler not cooling I was told the two most common part failures were the start relay and the thermostat. Ordered them both plus a new start capacitor. Relay/Capacitor was an easy 5-minute fix! Unfortunately, that alone did not fix my problem...The thermostat replacement was more involved. Once the back was removed, I had to chisel away the foam insulation the reveal the tube that the thermostat wire ran through. I used some heavy scissors to make a slit in the tube and followed the thermostat wire as far as I could. I then pulled it until it released. The new thermostat went back much easier than I thought (I lubed it with dry PTFE spray first). Back in action! Thanks to appliancepartspros.com I saved over $2000 repairing it myself with simple tools and no previous experience! Read More...
