Pablo C Apex , NC November 23, 2015 Appliance: Model MAYTAG MFI2569VEM4 Water dispenser made a lot of noise Water dispenser came down to a trickle and made a lot of noise, I changed the filter but it didnt help and thus the water tank/head assembly needed to be replaced. Replacing the water Tank/head assembly was an easy task, the hardest part is removing the covers and taking care of not breaking the insulation of the water inlet hose. For the not-so-experts like me it is also good to rememebr to have a bucket to collect all the water that comes out after the connection to the solenoid valves is removed. At the end the wife is happy... and that's all that matters Read More... 52 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers, Wrench Set

Alfredo A Phila , PA August 01, 2016 Appliance: Model MAYTAG MSD2651KGB Water dispenser had a very slow flow 1. Purchased a Water Filter Bypass head & new filter. When I installed the Bypass head, water flow was strong. I then installed the new filter & water flow was again very slow. 2. Had to go back to AppliancePros and purchase a Water Filter Head Assembly. I disconnected to lines from the rear of the refrig, unclipped the filter head from inside the refrig, pulled the head and two lines out from inside the refrig, and installed the new one in reverse order. I used an adjustable wrench to disconnect one tube, and the second was done by depressing a blue tab with my fingers which releases the grip on the line. Prior to pulling the lines out, I had to push out a small foam block from inside the refrig. This small piece of foam is used to block cold air from getting out from the space the two lines are entering the refrig. be careful removing & installing this block. It is weak. Everything is working fine now.. Alfredo Read More... 8 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Adjustable Wrench
