Replace this glass top when it's cracked, shattered, or has heating element burn marks that affect cooking performance or safety.

Broken ceramic cooktop

Slide range out. Disconnect power. Remove rear trim piece. Remove top side trim pieces. Remove additional side trim pieces. Remove front control panel (5 screws: 3 under by oven door, 1 on each side). Remove broken glass (may need to use putty knife to gently lift glass free). Vacuum thoroughly. Apply new gasket to edge of new glass and gently set in place. Re-install all trim. Be sure to order a new gasket. It is a separate part that does not come with the glass replacement, even though it's pictured with it.

Broken glass cook top

Unscrew the top, side and back and gently remove the broken glass. Place the new glass top and screw everything back on. Make sure the power is off. I'm a 30 woman and did it in 40 minutes all by myself. Easy, very easy...
