Replaced the motor, blower, rear drum felt seal, and drive belt. Vacuumed up the lint everywhere, cleaned extra lint out of the chute, around the blower, and rear vents. Laurance D Skokie , IL February 14, 2015 My 5 year old gas dryer stopped spinning i could smell an electrical "burn" i confirmed on the appliancepartspro website that it was the drive motor I bought a new motor and, to be on the safe side, a new drum belt as well as new motor clips. The total cost, including shipping was around $100. The parts arrived in two days with just the "standard" shipping. With the aid of the AppliancePartsPro video I was successful in making the repairs. Watched video on AppliancePartsPros.com site which showed how to perform repair. Also, replaced rear motor clamp, both rollers and dryer belt. Hardest thing of repair was removing the blower wheel. Unable to remove using procedure shown in video. Had to remove by accessing wheel from rear of machine. Read More...
