David D Long Beach , CA December 12, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WFW95HEXW0 F06e01 error code on whirlpool duet Machine started throwing F06E01 error codes. I ran through the troubleshooting steps, and it pointed towards the CCU or the MCB. I ordered a replacement CCU and installed it. Same issues. I checked all of the other components, and they checked out. Even though the checks on the MCB that I did passed, I decided to try to replace that unit. That was the culprit. When I removed the MCB, I removed the circuit board from the plastic housing. On the hidden side of the circuit board, a small chip had blown. The chip was a LNK304GN which is a switch/power supply controller. Chip cost: $1.18. The MCB was a little more expensive, but a lot less than having to buy a new washing machine.
