Defective design in control board

After getting a quote for $365 for parts and labor I did online search and found part. Ordered at $157 and installed myself. Everything is working fine. Re-programming directions that come with part need to be better written. Require the mind and words of someone who truly knows how to perform Expository writing.

Daughter's washing machine lid wouldn't lock

Replaced lid lock and striker, problem still exist. Changed control board, problem went away and machine has been working for a couple of weeks.
