Michael K Quincy , IL August 09, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Washer MVWB725BW0 Occasional ld code (long discharge) Maytag Bravos XL 2 years old. After checking both pumps and hoses for blockage and the trap at the bottom of the tub I determined the odds were very good it was the board. Add to this some erratic cycle starts that were happening, I was positive it was the board. The estimate I got for replacing the board was $488 part and labor. That meant replacing a 2 year old washer that the wife loved with a new one. Went to U-tube for videos on replacing boards. I had also used those videos to check the pumps and hoses and bottom tub trap for clogs to help diagnose the problem. Ordered a new board for $230 including next day delivery. Took 45 minutes to put in. Upon start up for the first load it was amazing how well it worked. It ran like new once again. I then knew it was the board by just the change in how it was running. Now that I have seen the guts of a washer with digital(computer) control its actually not bad to work on.
