Christian M Saint Louis , MO May 23, 2026 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL WEG730H0DS0 Entire display went dark and neither oven nor broiler worked cook top still worked well Took oven apart and found a bad Range Electronic Control Board but could not tell if LED panel or switches were bad too. Found out that a surge/brown out might have been the cause. Also checked DSI board. Contacted Repair Forum attached to the site and between chat and video, I was shown how to diagnose the problems including instructions on how to use the internal diagnostic testing. It was determined that the DSI board or spark igniter might be bad. Ordered all 5 parts. Installed RE control board first and all seemed to work but the oven. Replaced the spark igniter first with no help. Then replaced the DSI board and all seemed to well. After reassembling the stove, the oven and broiler again failed to work. A repeat of the diagnostic testing said that the Range Membrane Switch Touch Pad had a bad key (error F2E1). I had unfortunately returned the LED panel and the Range Membrane Switch Touch Pad from the prior order so I am waiting on a new order for a Range Membrane Switch Touch Pad. Mary in customer service was a great person to work with as well and wait times all 3 times I called were less than 5 minutes. Read More...
