This part is a replacement oven control board. It provides control over the various functions of the oven, such as bake, broil, temperature control, timers, and more. It also includes the display that shows temperature, function, timer, and clock-related information. The control board is exposed to high heat and moisture regularly, which can damage soldered components causing the board to fail. Signs of a failing or damaged oven control board include difficulty changing temperatures or oven function, or a complete lack of operability. To replace the oven control board, the user should first turn off the circuit breaker or unplug the oven. Next, remove the front cowling and control knobs to access the controls beneath, and remove that board, as well. The oven control board is the bottom-most component in the stack. Reassemble the oven in reverse order after installing the new board.This is a genuine OEM part and it is sold individually. It fits Kenmore, Whirlpool, and Maytag ovens with the controls at the front.
