Description
This is a Whirlpool washing machine control board. This part can be found behind the control panel on top of the washer, and it manages the washer's functions, including filling, washing, spinning, and draining. A washer control board may be damaged by power surge, exposure to excessively high heat or moisture. If the control board fails, the washer may skip cycles or stop working completely. A voltage tester can be used to verify that the control panel is causing problems.Before installing this part, be sure to cut power to the washer. The appliance will need to be pulled away from any walls, as well, as the control panel is accessed from the back of the appliance. Remove the mounting screws holding the main control panel closed to find the control board, disconnect the old part from its wire harnesses and mounting and reinstall the new part in its place.This is a genuine OEM part compatible with washing machines manufactured by Whirlpool brands, including Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and others.
