Eddie H Tulsa , OK August 14, 2026 Appliance: Whirlpool Top-Load Washer MVWP586GW0 F3e1 pressure sensor After Maytag / Whirlpool repair was refused claim the known issue with pressure sensors did not apply to my model/serial number i was left with having to swap the cntrl board myself. It was manufactured in the same date range as the midels they are covering the repairs for. It was fairly easy to do. After the change we run a small load to test and that completed fine. Then we tested a high water fill to make sure that would not overflow. Seems fine. Not sure if a recalibration is really necessary- but with those successful test we have been washing either it a few times with no problems. Does anyone think the recalibration is needed or anything else that should be tested more than i did. Thanks I gave it a 4-star because I shouldn’t have had to purchase the part and replace. Maytag / Whirlpool has a wider spread problem with this part than they will admit. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers
