Description

This is a Whirlpool oven control board. The oven control board sits behind the main user interface assembly. This board works in direct conjunction with the buttons on the interface to control the vital functions of the oven, such as bake, broil, and self-cleaning. Telltale signs of a malfunctioning control board are smells of burning plastic coming from the interface and losing one or more oven functions. Immediately discontinue using the appliance if a shorted control board is suspected. Begin installation by unplugging the oven from the power source. Open the oven door and remove the screws beneath the control board assembly. On the sides of the control assembly, two tiny screws hold it in place. Remove these, and with a slight pull, the user interface should pop off. The control board is directly behind the main assembly and is held by either two tiny screws or clips that loosen with a flat head screwdriver. Remove the control board from the wiring harness and begin installing the new component.This product is sold individually and is sourced directly from the manufacturer as a genuine OEM part.
