David R Portland , OR November 22, 2018 Appliance: Maytag 30" Modular Gas Downdraft Range JDS9865BDP22 Front panel stopped working and so did the oven bake time My 15 year old son and I examined the new parts and made a plan for how we were going to take the front off of the oven. Turns out it was fairly simple. We removed the knobs, the knob shrouds, two philip screws on the side of the head and about 6, 6mm hex sheet screws. Voila! It came apart. We carefully looked at how the old parts were assembled and simply reversed the assembly with the new parts. Since one of our parts was the entire front head, it went together quickly and it was a perfect fit. We plugged it in after assembly and all functions are restored! We saved Thanksgiving! Kent P Fallston , MD February 19, 2019 Control panel failed and tripped breaker Replaced oven control panel. Most difficult part was removing some stripped screws under burner control knobs. Fault also permanently tripped panel breaker, replaced that 50 amp breaker as well. Repair company wanted $700 to fix, not including breaker.
