Grant B Stuttgart , AR June 26, 2026 Appliance: Whirlpool 30`` Slide-In Electric Range GY397LXUS03 Whirlpool gy397lxus03 control board went out Possible electrical surge took out the control board in the oven. Burners and oven light still worked. No led lights and the touch buttons were not working. Finally found a video that somewhat showed the replacement. Had to use either ChatGpt or Claud ai to find it though. Our range is a slide in with the controls angled on the front. Slide the oven out a few inches and there are two screws, one in each side of the unit. Remove them, there are four screws on the underside of the control panel remove them. The video I watched had me remove the screws for all the burner knobs. Don’t think they was necessarily, caused more trouble in the end. Control board is held in place by two Phillips head screw. Limited space, maybe 1.5 inches to get them out. Had to make a trip to hardware store and get a small ratchet that held a Phillips head. Take pictures of all the connectors first before removing. If not for messing with burner knob components on the reassembly job I would have been less than 30 minutes. Easily. Read More...
