Description
This genuine Whirlpool oven control board is responsible for displaying the time, oven temperature, and other information. It also controls the oven and transmits user inputs to the heating elements, raising and lowering the temperature, turning the oven on and off, changing cooking modes, and more. Over time, the oven control board will suffer from wear and tear. Use can wear out the contacts under the buttons, but high heat will also take a toll on the circuit board. Spills and other accidents may also reduce the board's lifespan. Replacing an oven control board will require first turning off the oven by either unplugging it or opening the correct circuit breaker. Next, the user will need to remove the surrounding cover and then remove the six screws that hold the control board in place. The new board should be installed following the reverse steps.This is a genuine OEM part and is sold separately. It is compatible with Whirlpool and Kenmore brands.
