Randy R Sumas , WA February 19, 2016 Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDS01ILWH2 One side of door latch broken and control panel interior plastic deterioration almost all screws had nothing to screw into on panel itself Removed old panel, which was almost falling off, transferred inside control board to new panel, installed new handle on new panel and reassembled dishwasher. The only snag was some plastic tabs on the new panel that I discovered had to be removed before the panel would fit into place. I ended up using my Dremel to grind them off. On completion of the job I discovered a piece of paper that had come in the box with the part that said for dishwashers predating 2005, which I guess mine must have, there were tabs which needed to be removed first before doing the install. If I had noticed this first the install would have been even simpler - I ended up doing my grinding with everything already connected on the dishwasher - much more awkward. My only issue was one missing screw - lost during the months of my control panel falling apart.
