Rion B Lincoln , CA May 02, 2014 Pots and pans/normal light blinking Followed troubleshooting guide on the internet to isolate issue (faulty keypad). After part arrived, replacement went fairly smoothly. Slight modifications had to be made to fit my older dishwasher, but the part came with instructions. All issues were a result of my own human error; everything runs fine and part arrived next day. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Ruth M Wellington , FL July 16, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Undercounter Dishwasher GU1200XTLS3 Flashing lights on control panel and buttons did not respond Per the instructions, I unplugged the dishwasher and turned the circuit breaker off before starting. I disassembled and installed the control panel without too much trouble. Getting the door latch to seat properly was a little tricky and took a couple of tries, but I finally managed to put it all together properly. Once installed, I plugged it back in and attempted to turn the circuit breaker on, but the circuit breaker had blown. I could have replaced the circuit breaker on my own, but I called in an electrician just in case something else was wrong. He thought the circuit breaker blew due to switching it on and off multiple times to drain the dishwasher (part of the original problem--the dishwasher would fill with water but not drain and the cancel button would not work, so the circuit breaker had to be turned off and on again to reset the dishwasher to allow it to drain). The electrician thought it was just a coincidence that it died on the final turn off when I went to replace the panel. He said I should have just unplugged the dishwasher to replace the panel and not bother turning off the circuit breaker. Lesson learned. As soon as the circuit breaker was replaced, the dishwasher worked perfectly. Problem solved. Too bad I had to spend $ for an electrician and a $40 circuit breaker! Read More...
