Whirlpool WPW10205857 Control Panel OEM Part

I followed the instructions to verify whether the problem was the control panel or the control board. Basically, if you disconnect the control panel from the control board, reconnect the AC, and close the washer door and the pump comes on and runs for 2 minutes before turning off then the problem is with the control panel. If nothing happens then the problem is with the control board. For me the problem was the control panel (pump ran for 2 minutes and then shut off) which is a good result considering the control board is much more expensive. I replaced the control panel and the machine is running like new. I might add that it's a shame that the little buttons on the control panel fail so easily.

I knew it was either the control panel with the buttons or the circuit board. Getting the Circuit board was plan B if the control panel didn't fix it. I saw on the internet that a flashing Normal Wash button meant a stuck, broken button. This was true in my case and it was fixed in 15 minutes.

Replaced control panel by removing door front (~12 phillips screws), disassembled plastic parts by unsnapping them by hand, unplugged control panel from main board and pulled quick connects off locking mechanism, removed control panel (comes right out), moved locking mechanism from old control panel and put into new control panel, assembled in reverse order. WaaaaLaaaa. Done. About 25 minutes for entire job. Works well now.

Ordered control panel, installation was a breeze. Washer working fine. The service from aplliance Pros was outstanding, very helpful and great on a part that I had order previously , returned without any hassel. Also thier cross reference system makes sure the part you order is going to be compatiable with your appliance. Hope I don't have to use them again but if I do they will be the place I will go to. to return
