Joseph F Yulee , FL December 05, 2016 Appliance: Whirlpool Undercounter Dishwasher DU945PWPT0 Cosmetic damage to the control panel that exposed the metal control buttons Remove and replace the control panel. Eventually had to take off the lower cover to snap out the control panel. Dishwasher didn't work at first as the door lock wasn't engaging the on/off micro switch. I took the door apart again and noticed I forgot to snap the door lock back. It turns out I never needed to unsnap the door lock assembly. So, first remove the foot plate(a), then remove then unscrew the star head nuts to remove the door cover and it slides down a half inch then pops out. Remove electrical connections and screws of control panel before you pop it out. Otherwise you won't have a sturdy surface. Every connection is solid; there's nothing fragile to worry about.
