Description

This control panel is designed for use with washing machines. It's on the top back area of the appliance and houses a display and several buttons to control various components in the appliance. It's responsible for starting and stopping components, such as the drain pump and drive motor. If the display isn't working or the washer doesn't spin, fill, or drain, the control panel may be causing the issue.If this part is faulty, it should be replaced. Use work gloves for hand protection and pull the washing machine away from the wall to unplug it. Pull the control knob off the front of the console panel and move to the back of the appliance. Take out the screws on the top of the back panel. Push the control panel back while using a putty knife under the right corner to release the mounting clip. Do the same thing on the other side. Document where the wires are connected to the control panel before removing it. Install the new part and reconnect all the wires.This control panel is made for use with Maytag washing machines.
