Vicky L Coronado , CA September 01, 2015 Appliance: Whirlpool Side By Side Refrigerator ED22TQXGW00 Rusted smelly ice cube maker and container/crusher unit making unusable ice and stinking up the freezer I located the parts on Appliance Pros website, and then watched the installation videos. The videos demystified the installation process, so I ordered the parts after double checking their compatibility with an online chat technician. The parts arrived in just a couple of days. Because the videos outlined the tools to have on hand, I was ready to replace the units quickly so that the freezer did not fully thaw out after unplugging the fridge and packing all the frozen food in coolers. Note, I washed the container and wiped out the ice cube tray before installing them. Honestly, it only took 15 minutes to install the units, with the biggest issue being unplugging and plugging back in the ice maker since it was a tight space, and the plug was hard to squeeze. Ran the icemaker through a few cycles, dumped the ice and we are back in business with clean fresh ice from a 16 year old Whirlpool fridge. And no more stinky freezer! Read More... I can switch between cubes and crushed, which I have not been able to do for quite a while. It has been four days, and it is working perfectly. So far, so good.
