John W Arlington , WA November 21, 2016 Appliance: KitchenAid 30" Built-In Electric Oven Self Clean KEBC107KSS05 Control board would allow oven to reach selected temperature off by over 100 degrees Removed control panel. This is done by removing the two trim strips, one screw each strip by opening oven door to expose screw at the inside bottom of each trim piece close to the bottom of door opening. Control panel has two screws that are exposed when trim strips are removed. The hard part is getting the top of the panel removed from hidden slip over hold down fasteners behind the top of panel. Once the accomplished the rest is easy, unplug all wires (take picture before unplugging) thus releasing panel. Control board is easily removed from panel once wire strip is unplugged from board, easy once you learn how to lift two locking pin on each side of plug. Board goes in easily, be gentle as you put board over a round guide at center top and the gently settling board down until each snap locks are holding board in place. Assemble in reverse order, having fun trying to get the panel over and in place of slip over hold down fasteners. I loosened oven two cabinet screws and pulled oven out about an inch to ease removing panel. The new board came with the round guide broken off, so board was removed to get broken piece and then glued and reassembled. Before buying the control board learned from internet how to test heat sensor and heating element eliminating these two pieces first. If the oven was not disassembled I would of sent board back for replacement, oven was needed. Time to complete was greater due to board repair and those slip over fasteners at top and behind panel.
