David L Waleska , GA April 12, 2017 Appliance: Crosley Refrigerator CS21A5DW Frig not coming out of defrost and running to cold then to warm Had a two fold problem. The temperature started to have a mind of it's own getting colder and running more than usual. Then it seemed to stay in the defrost cycle longer. Manually turning the Timer- Defrost Control helped at first but then gave out, as it would electrically time but not click out of the defrost mode. Age caught up with it, replacement part brought it back to proper function. The Temp Controller used to work perfectly on a setting of 3.5 and then had to increase setting until it worked fine. A few days later everything would be frozen. Adjust temp down things would work fine for a week or two. Not a symptom of a capillary tube design. Removed the temp controller an on the plastic housing right below was black carbon a clear indicator of break down of the rheostat again due to age. Replacement Temp Controller works great now on 4.5 setting, freezer is at Zero, frig at 38, cycling is back to normal. Have to say the Help Section of Appliancepartspros is very beneficial, their return policy gives a great piece of mind, their speed of filling orders helps getting broken appliances back up and running. Thanks Guys - for the frig, washer and dryer parts I've purchase from you over the years.
