Christopher J Hoffman Estates , IL February 27, 2016 Appliance: KitchenAid Refrigerator KSRS25RVBL02 The freezer and refrigerator stopped cooling I am an electronics tech. I looked at the schematics for the fridge and realized the compressor and the condenser fan were not running. I checked for supply voltage on the common power line for these two and there was no voltage. The only source for this was the Control Board. I ordered the board and installed it and everything started working. I ordered with shipment overnight and the board arrived the next day. This meant the fridge was only down for a little over 24 hours. I removed everything from the freezer and put in my deep freezer. And I got bags of ice for the fridge to get through overnight. My coworker has a similar model fridge and he has had two of the boards go out in two years. But he is loosing control of the defrost heating element, which may mean he has a short somewhere in the heating element.
