Whirlpool WPW10218826 Electronic Control Board OEM Part

First, I checked the Appliance Parts Pros website and learned how to do a reset (unplug, wait, plug back in). That restored some functions, but not all. After further reading about people who had resolved similar problems, I decided to order and replace both the electronic control board and the control panel. (I was pretty sure it was only the control panel, but decided to do this once, replace both parts and get a new, fresh start.) Concerning the electronic control board, this model of dishwasher had at various times used three different ones. But, since the Appliance Parts Pros website had very clear photos of all three boards, all I had to do was visually match it up with the one in my dishwasher! Both parts were in stock and arrived in three days. I watched a YouTube video, but the dismantling went exactly as described on the the website. All that was needed was a T-20 torx driver and a 1/4" nut driver. Disassembly, part replacement, and reassembly took about 30 minutes. Works perfectly!

I verified the door interlock switches and the float switch in the base tub, all verified so I ordered the main electronic board, The board arrived and I installed it and everything is working great.

Early last year our dishwasher stopped running, and we did things the old fashioned way by standing in front of the sink ourselves. When Thanksgiving and Christmas came back to back with extended family in the home my wife said that she wanted her dishwasher back. The installation literally took less than 10 minutes, but my wife was not there to see the lights come on for the first time in months. So, I texted her a picture of the lit up front panel. The response was "Yipee!" It has now been used for several well enjoyed runs, and my wife is very happy. I think the kids are as well. All it took was a nut driver and a torx driver. Very Simple! And yes, I did remember to unplug it first.
