John H Carmel , NY June 09, 2014 Appliance: Model 106.56682501 Fridge would not go into defrost cycle This was my first visit to Appliance Parts Pros (APP), I've seen their videos on Youtube several times, but this was the first time I needed parts. Though I'm handy, Appliance repair is kinda new to me, I've always gotten by, but when the fridge would not defrost, I needed to do lots of reading up and googling around to get an education to determine the issue. APP was the best source and ultimately the resolution in troubleshooting and parts purchase. Things learned for next time- Goto APP first!, and Study more the appliance documentation to get a better understanding of what I'm doing, The part I ordered FIXED the issue, but because I ordered the part by part NAME and model number of the appliance, I did not order the part I thought I ordered (there are two control panels in my fridge, one in the Fridge behind the digital temp display, and one under and in the back near the compressor, I thought I was getting the "fridge one"). The part APP sent was the correct part I needed though. Everything is working fine now.
