Robert N Seattle , WA November 06, 2018 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL RF395LXE0 Oven spontaneously locked and went into self clean mode Replaced the main controller ("computer") board. This is a very easy fix; took only about 10 minutes. However, I'm hoping that the old board was the cause of the problem. It could be something to do with the door locking solenoid & microswitch unit. The difficulty was in analzying the problem, coming up with a temporary work-around (disconnect the microswitch), manually unlocking the door, disconnecting the oven light (which simultaneously was always on), and waiting the two weeks for the replacement part.
