Martin S Virden , IL May 09, 2014 Appliance: Model MAYTAG MEW6627DDB Old electrical control board had shorted and burned out Ordered replacement part here and swapped it out for old part. One of the plugs from the oven to the control board had melted and was unusable, but inside that plug was just standard slide on terminals anyway. So I cut off old plug and replaced them with new terminals (make sure they are decently heavy duty) and then just slid them on the contact posts each manually. Oven works great again, and temperature is actually much better than it ever was. There is still an issue with some condensation when the oven cooks at 300 or under (fan that cools control board doesn't kick on until temp reaches 315, and I think the condensation is what caused the short in the first place) but that isn't any fault of this control board's.
