Joy G Bonaire , GA November 12, 2015 Appliance: Jenn-Air Self Cleaning Slide-In Electric Range JES8750AAW F1 7 error code jenn air oven jes8750aaw Per information listed in this site and others , the most common cause referenced for this error code is the control panel assembly (touch pad / ribbon connector) . 1. Flipped circuit breaker to remove power from oven. Then removed panel assembly to visually check for loose or dirty/burnt connections. disconnected ribbon and cleaned connection with electrical contact cleaner. problem did not go away. Ordered control panel assy #AP4098049 (74005702) from ApplianceParts Pros.com (with their 365 hassle free return policy I decided I had nothing to loose. Part was out of stock and had to be ordered but still can in quicker than I expected. The only tools that I needed was a Phillips screwdriver (cordless is faster)and a small common screwdriver to unlock ribbon connector . Two small containers to place screws in as you disassemble panel assy. I discovered that if you place an empty five gallon bucket on top of the opened oven door it works great to hold the control panel assy while swapping out rotary switch's for stove and clock assy etc.. I recommend that you take a few pictures of the wire connections before you start swapping out components, just in case. The indicator light connectors just slide off the red inserts/plastic-bulbs . Just push in on the plastic bulbs to swap out bulbs to new panel. Pull knobs off to get access to screws that mount rotary switch's for stove. Four screws are used to mount the clock assy. Use the small screwdriver to unlock the electrical ribbon connector lock. The connector lock has two small points that secure the ribbon in place when snapped. Make sure the new panel assy ribbon is secured down in the clock assy deep enough that the connector lock pins align with holes in ribbon before snapping connector. After all components are swapped out into new panel assy, visually checked wires to make sure none were pinched as I rotated panel and reinstalled panel back into oven with the mount screws. Flipped circuit breaker and reset oven clock. Checked all functions of stove/oven. works perfect, like a new oven but a lot cheaper than a new one! Read More...
