Whirlpool 5706X358-81 Cooktop OEM Part

Had to fix both glass top and a burner. Easy as pie.

I ordered a new top from AppliancePartsPros. They had a very good system for verifying that the part I ordered was the correct version for my appliance, so there were no worries. It arrived safely in a timely manner and I installed it the next day. Found directions online which worked fine. Had a little trouble getting first screws loose and then needed to buy a nut driver. All else went smoothly and I have a lovely new cooktop! The only odd thing was that they had me call them back to tell them verbally exactly what I had ordered - including adding up the numbers. Very strange and made me suspect they may be scamming me - but NOT! All went fine.

My son did the replacement. It didn't take him that long but I did not observe him.

Unscrewed the two front screw. Unconnected the next four screws that hold the burners. Take the broken glass top off. Place the new top in place and screw the burners back. Start At front and then back. Pretty easy.
