Harold G Bowling Green , OH August 19, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Free Standing Electric Range RF367LXSQ4 Broken glass on electric cooktop Glass can only be replaced by purchasing the entire cooktop. Yes, its a little expensive, but specialized glass doesn't come cheap. After removing two phillips head screws under the front lip, you can pull the cooktop toward you about 6". At that point, you must unplug the burners just under the control panel....two plugs, one for each side. Remove the ground wire that's held in place with a phillips head screw.....then simply lift the cooktop off the range. Burners are not included with the new cooktop. There is two brackets that hold the burners up to the glass, one phillips head screw per bracket. Get a good look at how the burners line up in the brackets before removing them.....this is actually a very easy step to perform. After the burners are mounted to the new cooktop, you simply reinstall it to the stove in the reverse order in which it was removed. Do not try to buy this part anywhere else but here! I bought it here for $340, which was the cheapest I could find it. Sears Parts Direct wanted $468! This part fit my range perfectly.
