Whirlpool W10204939 Cooktop OEM Part

My wife and I watch a you tube video. The video gave us the know how and the courage to tackle the repair. We replaced the cooktop. The hardest part was moving the stove out from the counter since the floor was replaced after the stove was installed. I used the leg adjustments to raise the stove and some wood blocks to keep it high and move it out.

I found your on-line video very helpful and decided that I could handle the job. Although the replacement top was delayed a few days due to backorder problems the new top was received in fine condition thanks to your careful packing. The replacement took less than an hour, but moving the range back in place and adjusting the height took another hour.

Switching out the glass cooktop was very easy. I was extra careful when transferring the burners from the old cooktop to the new one, so as not to damage them. That part of the project took me 1/2 hour tops. The part that took awhile was cleaning everything while I had it apart...lots of sticky gunk built up on top of the burner control unit that took a bit to clean. Also had some issues with the vent ducts, but that was specific to my project and would not necessarily be an issue for most.

Bought the top, looked on youtube and did the repair. No problems.
