Mayan M Chappaqua , NY May 13, 2017 Appliance: Model W10296247 Cooktop glass was broken Unscrewed screws along periphery at the bottom; there are lots of them! lifted it out, uncoupled the heating elements, then replaced the cook tops. I had order the foam tape to go around the edge. However, I should have also ordered the ceramic burner rings, they were cracked. I managed to maneuver them into place, other people used high-temp glue, but I have to go in and pop them. Have 3 or 4 wood dowels to rest the stove top on while working on them; make sure they are wood or something which won't scratch the enamel. Take-aways: Order the cook-top foam tape and ceramic rings together. Charles H Missoula , MT June 08, 2015 Broken glass stove top Okay. It took a bit to get the old one off. I took pictures of the wiring, which helped immensely. Only problem was that the fire ring around one of the burners had cracked into about 5 pieces. Rather than order another burner at $170, we used some high temp gasket glue to put it back together.
