Paul E Cibolo , TX August 01, 2020 Appliance: Whirlpool Dishwasher WDF520PADM7 Locking tab on the dispenser door broke. Installing the dispenser unit requires taking apart the door of the dishwasher. I cut power to the dishwasher, removed the outer door cover by removing 14 star screws, unplugged the power from the old dispenser and unscrewed 6 tiny socket screws that secure it to the inner door, and popped the unit loose from two plastic clips that hold it in. I put in the new unit, screwed in the 6 socket screws that hold it, inserted the power tab, put the door back together, turned the breaker back on, and told my son to get started on KP. Barry H Hattiesburg , MS September 27, 2016 The rinse aid was not despencing Found the Appliance Parts Pro website(purely by accident) and "chatted" with someone about my problem. I gave them the model # and they recommended the correct part. Ordered on a Thursday and received on a Monday. I had watched a few videos on how to install so I figured I could do that. 20 minutes later I was done. Started the dishwasher up and a few minutes later, water was all over the floor. Opened everything back up and decided that when putting the screws back in to mount the dispenser, I had not tightened them enough. I was afraid to tighten too much and hear that dreaded crack sound you hear when you tighten too much with plastic. All is well now and after a few cycles, my wife says that it works better now that it did 2 years ago when it was new! I'll keep Appliance Parts Pro in my favorites from now on! Joshua G Delphi , IN February 24, 2021 The door on the soap dispenser was broken (it wouldn't latch). I purchased the replacement dispenser, removed the front panel of the dishwasher and removed the existing dispenser and installed the new one. One thing to be careful of is ensuring the dispenser screws are tightened properly. After putting the front panel partially back on, I realized there was a gap between the dispenser and the door inside the dishwasher, which certainly would have allowed water to leak out. I tightened it up, and I'm pretty sure it'll work now. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers, Socket Set
