Christine C Branson , MO June 27, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Undercounter Dishwasher MDB4630AWB5 Broken detergent latch in my dishwasher I removed the front panel, a few screws and a small plug, then simply replace the broken part. The funny thing is that it has been broken for months. One night I was fed up, ordered the part and it was installed within 2 days of that decision. Read More... Reid J Greensboro , NC May 12, 2019 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL MODEL WDF310PAAT4 The soap door would not open when it needed to during the wash cycle Turned the power off to the dishwasher, like you should do anytime you are working on a appliance. Then I took the front cover off, and took the wires off the dispenser. Took the bolts holding the dispenser in with a nut driver or could use a small socket. Then put the new dispenser in place and put the bolts holding it in back in, plugged the wires back in, and put the front cover back on the washer, and then I was finished. It took about 20 minutes to do the whole job. P.S. it takes a torch bit to remove the screws holding the front cover on. Read More... James E Oklahoma City , OK May 25, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Undercounter Dishwasher MDB4709AWW3 Lid on dispenser wouldn't latch shut trying to pry the pivot up a little broke it so no lid Ordered the right replacement from this site. That's a little tricky, as there are several that look similar. Check model numbers on the washers carefully. It helped to call a local parts store and they give part numbers to match the dishwasher model, that helped confirm I had the right one. Their price was about $103. The price on this site with shipping was $86. And it came in the mail the next day. Replacement went pretty easily. For our model of washer (Maytag MDB4709AWW3), you actually unscrew the 8 screws nearer the bottom - - need a small torx screwdriver - - and then it's the front panel of washer that comes off, not the inside panel. Then you need a small hex socket, and nutdriver if possible, to unscrew the 6 machine screws for the rectangular retaining piece. Pay better attention than I did to how the electrical wire relates to that retaining piece. One trick is that the part that came had stuck to its connector an extra connector for the wire. Probably, that comes off, since the same part is also on the end of the wire that remains on your dishwasher. The two don't mate with each other! Reassembly was pretty easy. A second person to help hold the front panel on while you replace the torx screws might be helpful. So far after one or two runs, the dispenser is working. Read More...
