Whirlpool 12001324 Dryer Lint Screen Housing Kit OEM Part

Took a screw driver lifted the top, Unscrewed two screws holding the front on the inside of the dryer one to left and one to the right. Laid the front on the floor and removed to other screws holding the collector in place, popped out old one cleaned all the lint and dust and popped the new one in put the new seal in place and done !

I ordered a new collector kit and lint filter. I had read, from a previous DIY person how to replace it. I used a screwdriver to pop the drier top up. Removed 2 hex screws that held the front panel on; took out the 2 screws that held the old collector in place. I laid the front panel down on the floor, removed the old collector and installed the new one. I reused the old collector gasket,you might want to order a new one with the new collector in case the old one was non re usable. Mine was re usable.

After ordering the parts through Appliance Parts Pros, I worked along with a video on YouTube where a guy was taking his similar style dryer apart to clean it. It took the same steps to replace the broken parts, so the job went smoothly.
