Description

This surface igniter electrode creates the spark that lights the gas at the burner. Replacing a worn or cracked electrode restores quick, reliable ignition and helps stop constant clicking or burners that only light with a match.

• Generates a high-voltage spark at the burner head to ignite gas
• Connects to the spark module via the attached lead wire
• Typical symptoms: burner won't spark or light, intermittent or weak spark, delayed ignition, visible cracks in the ceramic insulator
• Helps address arcing to ground or persistent clicking at a single burner

What's included: One surface spark electrode with attached lead wire. Install notes:

• Disconnect power and shut off gas before servicing; allow the cooktop/range to cool
• Remove grates, burner caps, and burner heads to access the electrode
• Route and connect the lead securely to the spark module; avoid pinching or chafing the wire
• Set the electrode tip gap/alignment near the burner per the original position; avoid stressing the ceramic insulator
• Test for proper spark and ignition before full reassembly
