Dennis G Hudson , FL October 10, 2016 Appliance: Maytag 30" Built-In Electric Oven Self-Clean Non-Convect MEW5530DDW18 Wall oven (matag mew5530ddw) was not reaching temperature in bake mode above 300 deg 1st. replaced thermostat probe inside wall oven - no change. Then removed range heating element and measured it with ohm meter for continuity and found it to be OPEN. Ordered replacement range heating element; measured it before install and found it to be a few ohms - installed in less than 5 minutes and tested. ALL WORKS GREAT. Both items purchased with shipping were just over $100. (I chose to keep the thermostat probe instead of returning it being the oven is just over 10 years old).
