Peter S Roanoke , TX March 09, 2017 Bake element blew out and stopped working Looked up the appropriate model and verified that the part was the correct one. When it arrived, I unplugged the oven. I removed the racks. I found the proper socket to fit the screws and unscrewed the old bake element. I carefully pulled it out to make sure the cables wouldn't be disconnected. I staged the new element under the existing one, unplugged one terminal, reconnected to the new element, then unplugged the other terminal and connected it to the new element. After the terminals were securely connected, I re-seated it in the back of the oven, replaced and tightened the screws, put the racks back in, and plugged in the oven. I gave it a quick test to make sure it heated up, left it running for ~10 minutes to burn off anything on the burner, then turned off the oven. Total time was ~ 15 minutes. Read More... Robert S Crystal City , MO December 20, 2014 Bake element had blown and was in pieces Ordered and replaced the element. Was hoping the wires were long enough to pull through the back of the oven wall. They were not. Pulled the stove out from the wall, removed the cover and plugged in the wires. Pushed the stove back in place. Reconnected the power and tested the element. Worked like a charm. Heated it up until the element did not smoke any more from the new, finger oils and such. Now waiting for my customer to bake me a pie, her specialty. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers
