Description
Broil element provides the oven's upper heating for broiling and surface browning. Replacing a failed broil element restores broil performance so foods brown evenly and the oven properly completes broil cycles. What it does:
- Produces the high, direct heat used for broiling and top-surface browning.
- Restores heat in the oven's upper cavity when the broil setting is selected.
- Common fix when food doesn't brown, the element doesn't glow, or the broil cycle delivers little heat.
- Works with the oven's broil control and thermostat to achieve required broiling temperatures.
What's included: One broil element. Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance at the breaker before starting any repair.
- Remove oven racks and access the element mounting screws or rear terminal cover as required by your model.
- Handle the element carefully and avoid touching terminals; ensure connections are tight and insulated.
- Replace damaged mounting hardware or connectors before re-energizing the oven.
