Your Microwave is one of those things that sits there silently, never demanding anything except a little wipe-up, and eagerly waiting to heat something to make you happy. And in all this microwave tranquility, especially with a highly reliable Maytag, I had completely forgotten that my baby needed both charcoal and grease filters periodically replaced. Until it started to "wheeze" the other night. The filters were so clogged it had developed MRP...or Microwave Respiratory Problems! So I contacted my trusty friends at Appliance Parts Pros who, over my years of home ownership, have easily, quickly, reliably and securely provided me with various parts to keep my stuff running smoothly. I received my charcoal and grease filter replacements plus a few spares, watched a how-to video on YouTube, and proceeded to replace the desperately needed filters. My only tool need was a Phillips head screwdriver and a jackhammer. Just kidding about the jackhammer; I wanted to see if you were still awake. As I stood on my step ladder, I also did a thorough cleaning of all external surfaces to remove any cooking grease not visible from ground level. Now, able to breathe again and protect my home from disagreeable smells, my Maytag microwave is once again a happy camper in the cooking game of life! Julie K White Bear Twp. , MN February 21, 2015 Appliance: Model JENNAIRE RANGE JDS1860AAP Small things like broken light covers on microwave and filters big thing was oven door hinges I fixed the small items no problem with screw driver. there is no YouTube video for my exact oven door hinge replacement so I am working up the courage to work on it in the next day or two.
